We have Choquette, Lula, Marcus Pumpkin, Miguel, Monroe, and Simmonds varieties of avocado. Florida avocados tend to be much larger than California varieties of avocados. The oil content of Florida avocado tends to be less than California Haas avocado. The Haas avocado prefers a more dry climate of California and does not do well in Florida’s high humidity (flowers and fruit are attacked by fungus). The Florida avocado variety with the highest oil content is Lula.
